The string Of successive wins began after q day in late October, 1920, when the Panthers last scored triumph over the Maroon. Dopesters anticipated q close game at Easton,. but Lafayette ran through the Bucknell team like an April shower through a bargain counter raincoat. Pete Reynolds has a veteran squad and a record Of 100 points scored in four games. The week previous the Navy was fortunate to win out in the last period over the Lewis5urg collegians. Yale had no trouble with Williams, running up $50 walkover. and Princeton had to use only straight football for three Of it’s four touchdowns against Maryland, winning 28-O. When it is considered that Penn had to give everything to cross Maryland’s goal twice, the power Of tho Tiger offense looks doubly strong. Next Saturday Roper’s athletes bat tie Chicago at Chicago, and they are In shape for the struggle, for every one came out OF the Maryland game in good condition. Stagg also has the Windy City players ready. He did not have to use his regulars to beat Purdue, 12-O. Saturdays games ran according to form with few exceptions. One was the unexpected fight of Swarthmore against Penn. and another was the 6–3 victory Of Vermont over Dartmouth.
