That it was not en- tirely overturned was due to an all important safety by which IowS nosed cut Illinois, 8 to z. The seven’to sew en tie between Minnesota and North western proved the other. Michigan’s 19 to 0 victory over Ohio was not altogether unexpected, as the Buckeyes have a, green team, while the Wolverines boast one of veterans Other games followed ex- pectatons rather closely, Chicago winning from Purdue. 12 to 9. and Wisconsin beating Indiana, 20 to 0. Illinois Spring Surprise. The Illinois game was the days surprise. as Illinois was contidered a weak team.
