  Cornell Improves and Rolls Up a Big Score Beats New Hampshire State by 6S to z. Special Dispatch 20 THE NEW YoRK Herald. ITHACA. “. y. Oct. 14.--Cornell defoated New Hampshire State here this afternoon by the score of 6S to Z, scoring ten touchdowns and giving a much bet ter exhibition of team work and team power than in the first two games of the season. New Hampshire State was unable to cope with the speed, power and persist erce Of the Red attack. in which Ram sey, Kaw. Rooney and Hart figured prominently. In the fourth period MILESTONE, a substitute. also broke into the limelight by making several sensational gains. The first touchdown was made In three minutes Kaw, Rooney and Hart rushed from mdheld. This was followed up by series OF gains that soon became monotonous. New Hampshire made four first downs against the regulars. but i’m the fourth period Wentworth fooled the Comedians twice by break ing through wide open defense only TO have this advantage lost when Hart in tercepted a forward pass. In the last period Wentworth tossed a forward pass from his 30 yard line, Litchheld caught IL as IL bounded from Ccrnellian’s hands and ran thirty yards FOR a touchdown The Cornell line charged nicely to-day and play was cleaner although still ragged in spots. Interference for the backs was more effective. The lineup:

  Powerful Cornell Team Swamps New Hampshire, .68 to Z ITHACA, N. “, Oct. 14.-Cornell found New Hampshire State easy pick ing to-day, overwhelming the New Eng landers by score Of 6s to Z. The Ithacans looked like last years ma chine to-day, showing flashes of brilliant play and sustained power. They got away to good start, scoring q touchdown in three minutes of play, Kaw and Rooney leading the attack, and before the second string men were into the lineup in force in the final period the regulars had rolled up nine touchdowns. The Cornell interference at times was superbly efficient and occasionally team play worked with fine smooth ness and precision. In the last quarter Wentworth threw long forward pass to Litchfield, which the latter caught on the bound from Comedians hands and carried thirty yards for touch down. Th, 1sna
