CHICAGO PLAYS IN GREAT FASHION To DEFEAT GEORGIA Randall, Georgia Star, Forced From Game With Injuries. Score Was 200 Chicago, October 7.-Displaying polished team work and relying al most entirely on straight football, rolled up a 30 to 0 score on Georgia day. A crowd of $4,000 witnessed the International game despite overhung skies. which threatened another downpour. The game was played on a slippery, rain-soaked field. which made forward passing difficult. Halfback Johnny Thomas Of Jamestown, N. D., whose playing enabled Chicago to triumph over Prince ton last year, was the most ssensational performer of the day, although Jimmy Pyott a Chicago youth. who plays the other half, was close second. Together with Fullback zorn they carried the ball nine out of ten times and ripped big holes in the Georgia defense on almost every attempt. Thomas scores Twice Thomas counted both touchdowns, after carrying the ball down the field on repeated smashes at the right side of the Georgia line. while Pyott scored twice with short drop kicks. Georgia fought a plucky fight, stopping Chicago for downs three times inside of the 5-yard line. RAN dali, Georgia’s star left half, twice ran for slight gains after tacklers had disabled one knee and was taken from the game in the second quarter. This accident broke up the Georgia overhead attack, as Randall was the Crackers chief dispatcher. Only four passes were attempted during the game, one of which was successful. Pyott intercepted both of the Georgians’ passes and returned one of them for 20 yards. Chi cago used short passes over the line, one of which, Caruso to Pyott netted u yards in the last quarter and set the stage for the last touchdown. Smashed the Line Stages favorite play last year, line drive in which the whole back field drives through to clear the way for the runners, was used time after time with great success, the right side of the Georgia line crumpling tefore drives by Thomas and Zorn.
