  ‘RAH FOR BOWDOIN. Maine Boys Defeat Brown University at Foot Ball, 8 to 0. Pine Tree Brain, erawn and Muscle Too Much for the Rhode Islanders. PROVIDENCE. Il. l., Nov. lI.-Brown n University was defeated by Bowdoin this afternoon, by combination of hard luck and poor playing. Bowtoin played a good sharp game while Brow made two fambles, each of which lost an almost touchdown. All the scoring was done in the first half Bowdoin scoring two tonehlowns and miss ing two easy goals. In the second half Brown came within two feet of making a touchdown. but fumbled and lost the ball. Carleton AMI Fairbanks carried off the honors for Bowdoin. and Hastings and Robinson showed up best on the Brown eleven Score, eight TO nothing. Touchdown Carleton, Fairbanks. Umpire, Howl land
