    Brown Eleven Defeats Rhode Island, 25 to O PROVIDENCE, R. l., Sept. 25.-- Brown opened the season to-day by defcating Rhode Island State COLLEGE,, 25 to 0. The Brunonians presented stiff defensive, but showed little ginger in driving the ball. One touchdown resuited from blocked kick and another from 3S-yard run bv Oden through a broken field. Rhode Island as power less on the attack, hut held Brown for downs three times within the tcn-yard line
