Virginia won’t want 70 Uicet them. Centre college OF Ken lucky ran up a total OF forty-nine points In downpour of rain, and the best Virginia could do was TO register a lone touchdown. which followed blocked punt on Centres nineteen-yard line. The Kentucky Backs ran rings around Virginia. Captain Mcmillan. one of the best ali-round players seen here in years. skirted Virginias left end for seven ty yards and later Murphy, sub stitute, twice repeated the stunt, no Virginia tackler being able to over take him. Virginia sent in many substitutes but could not check thu visitors, who registered Two touch = downs in every period but the las. while in that they scored one. kuyk was the oaiy Nirginian who could gain ground. and his taesling featured.

  VIRGINIA IS SWAMPED BY CENTRE COLLEGE Kentuckians Nearly Duplicate Harvard Score Of Week Ago, Count Being 1877. CHARLOTTESVILLE Va. Noyem. Der University of Virginia was completely outclassed by Centre Col lege of kentucky today. the latter nearly duplicating the score of Harward a week ago. Final score was 40 to z. A drenching rain was falling when play was called. but this never halted the kentuckians, and their speedy backs got away three times for Toyard runs, while Eirginia’s line was penetrated at will. 1t was the most smashing drive eyer seen on Lam petn Field. Two touchdowns were made in the opening quarter.
