Army Conquers Boston College By l3..O Score Team That Humbled Yale Falls Before the Cadets; Prince Leopold esCame WEST POINT, N. Y, Oct. 25.-The Army football eleven staged come back to-day which swept Boston Col lege aside and lent encouragement to the cadets supporters. The soldiers trounced the Hub collegians, who a week ago conquered Yale, by score of 13 to 0. The Bostonians we’re never danger ously near to the Army goal line, with q single exception. This came in the final quarter, when an Army man was banished for slugging and the cadets we’re set back half the distance to their goal line. which put the ball on their 28-yard line. But even with this advantage tho visitors could do moth ing. The cadets showed some Of the latent power and drive which close observers had felt all along they possessed. Their running attack was much i’m proved: The Army’s stonewall defense also stood out throughout as a bull wark against Boston’s line plunging plays. Only by dexterous use of the forward pass could the collegians gain. They did launch this play to good advantage several times, but always when they were we’ll down in their own ter ritory, which seemed wasted ENERGY. McQuarrie Kicks Well McQuarrie outkicked Fitzpatrick, gaining on nearly every exchange, and there was a deal of kicking through out. Heaphy, Boston’s pivotal man, was played off his feet and was afford ed no time to rove. The greatest part of the Army’s gains went through the Boston man who worried Acosta, of Yale, a week ago. The Army line charged low and in good time, and several times Boston’s plays were smeared before they were gotten underway. The Army’s first score came after Kieffer had fallen on one of McQuarre’s high ones, Corrigan fumbling on Boston’s 25-yard line. On the first play Lystad ripped through Heaphy FOR nine yards. Schabackcr then skirt ed Urbans end, running close to his interference for touchdown. Nc Quarrie kicked goal With the ball on Army’s 35-yard line early in the second quarter, Nc Quarrie broke loose and ran sixty yards to Boston’s 5-yard line. Two plays took it over, McQuarre carry ing the ball for a touchdown. The goal was missed. Crown Prince Leopold of Belgium sat through threequarters Of the game and rooted with the Army men. 1’bo 1;po
