Navy S Eleven Not Bothered By Villanova ANNAPOLIS, Nov. 17.--Villanova, al though getting first blood through forward pass and a l5-yard penalty soon after the game started, was wal loped by the midshipmen here this afternoon. The score was 80 to 3. The lone score of the visitors was due to the drop kicking of McGuckin. A forward pass, Wegand to McCrady, had taken the leather beyond midfeld, and penalty had advanced it fifteen yards more. From the 35-yard line, after try ing and finding the MILDLY defence iron bound, the visitors called on Nc Guckin. From this point on Villanova was never dangerous, and the only interest in the game quickly settled into guesses as to how big a tally the sailors would pile up. Villanova’s best work was in forward passing. The visitors sue ceeded in this play fifteen times out Of twenty-four tries. Two attempts were intercepted and the remainder grounded. Navy relied almost entirely upon Off tackle plays, with an occasional end run or centre buck. In the tackle and end plays speedy little Martin, of the sailor aggregation, was q real star. He time after time got away for long dashes. Fifteen and twenty yard runs seemed not TO satisfy him, for twice he got away for longer sprints than these Once a 60-yard run netted touchdown Lefore he was downed, and then later he duplicated the trick for forty-five Yards and q score
