Terry Hoage played safety at Georgia (to 1983). He finished fifth in the 1983 Heisman vote and was a consensus All‑American in 1982 and 1983. The New Orleans Saints took Hoage in round 3, No. 68 overall in the 1984 NFL Draft. He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2000.
