Ted Brown played at NC State (1975–78). He finished seventh in the 1978 Heisman vote and was a consensus All‑American in 1978. The Minnesota Vikings took Brown in the first round, No. 16 overall in the 1979 NFL Draft. He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2013.
