Phil O’Reilly played offensive tackle at Purdue (to 1947). The Pittsburgh Steelers took O’Reilly in round 6, No. 45 overall in the 1948 NFL Draft. The San Francisco 49ers also took him in round 7, No. 38 overall in the 1948 AAFC Draft.
