Bob Crable played linebacker at Notre Dame (to 1981). He was a consensus All‑American in 1980 and 1981. The New York Jets took Crable in the first round, No. 23 overall in the 1982 NFL Draft. He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2017.
