Ralph Guglielmi played quarterback at Notre Dame (1951–54). He finished fourth in the 1954 Heisman vote and was a consensus All‑American in 1954. The Washington Redskins took Guglielmi in the first round, No. 4 overall in the 1955 NFL Draft. He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2001.
