One high school. Four touchdown catches.

Miami Norland alumni at Wofford

Four touchdown passes. Two receivers. One Miami high school. In Wofford’s 32–25 win at Furman on October 3, Isaiah Scott and Ivory Aikens caught two touchdowns apiece.

Both receivers came through Miami Norland, according to their Wofford biographies. That shared school connection puts a hometown thread through every Wofford touchdown catch in the game.

Scott supplied two long strikes: 70 yards and 80 yards, both in the first quarter. Aikens reached the end zone early, then turned a short shovel pass into a 71-yard score early in the second quarter. Scott finished with seven catches for 193 yards.

The connection goes beyond a name on a roster. Scott’s Wofford biography credits him with 1,094 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns at Norland in 2023. It also records a fourth-place finish in the state 400-meter hurdles in 2024.

Their next chapter arrived a week later. In Wofford’s 16–0 win at Elon on October 10, Aikens made a first-down catch on the Terriers’ opening possession of the second half. The drive ended with Anjuan Coleman’s touchdown reception.

Correction · 2026-10-11: An earlier version described Aikens’ October 10 catch as 41 yards, following Wofford’s recap. Wofford’s official box score and play-by-play list 51 yards. We have removed the yardage from the story because those official accounts disagree; both describe a first down on the touchdown drive.
